Why is Reliance Jio 4G Charging Rs 100 after 90 days?
Reliance might have fear of losing its customers after its initial 90 days because of the extended charges. The plan has changed to a nominally charged plan due to the TRAI regulations.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) clearly states that ” No telecom company can provide free services as a promotional offer for more than 90 days.”
Due to this regulation Reliance has no other go but to charge its customers nominal fees. However, Jio firmly believes that its loyal customers would not quit it as Rs 100 is a very affordable and nominal price for most of its regular customers.
In fact, Reliance Jio is trying hard to bridge the indifference between urban and rural India. Let us hope that Jio succeeds in its mission!
