Jio Broadband: Jio GigaFiber Website Goes Live, Online Booking & Service To Roll Out Soon
The Fiber To The Home (FTTH) service from Reliance Jio is one of the most anticipated services from the Reliance Industries Limited. The 4G Service from Jio has been up and running from September last year and the all-new Jio GigaFiber services are likely to launch soon. Jio broadband is expected to be rolled out with a preview offer shortly.
The Jio GigaFiber – The proposed name for the FTTP service from the Reliance Jio is expected to follow the same initial run like the Reliance Jio 4G. Jio 4G was available as a preview at first and was commercially launched soon, the Jio GigaFiber would be available as Preview service soon as well.
The only difference would be that while you did not have to pay for Reliance Jio 4G, you would have to pay Rs 4500 as a security deposit when you get your Broadband service from Jio GigaFiber.
The Preview offer would definitely be high-speed internet service, much to lure the crowd of subscribers at large. It is expected to have a speed of up to 100 Mbps. It would offer up to 1 Gbps speed at the launch. The service is expected to have a FUP of 100 GB per day after which the speed would drop to 1 Mbps.
It is not clear if the preview offer would last three months like it did for the Jio 4G services. The live starting is expected to be in Mumbai and hopefully, other cities will follow suit soon. The trial runs are in place in Mumbai and Pune already.
The news is not official yet, the Reliance Jio GigaFiber website is being created right now but it has not gone live yet. The Official Reliance Jio Fiber website under construction is the basis for the report today. Although the website is hidden from the public, for now, we have managed to scoop some screenshots exclusively for you. With all our hopes up, we expect the Jio GigaFiber broadband preview to launch soon.
The trial that was launched by Jio in Mumbai has been reported in the media some time back. The trial was a beta service that was a precursor to the Reliance Jio GigaFiber. The beta service was selectively available but the preview Jio broadband is expected to launch in more parts of Mumbai and other cities as well.
The majority of the internet users in India, use their cellular data services for their daily internet consumption. The 2G, 3G, 4G speed data is neither fast nor reliable. With the much-neglected broadband services in the limelight, Jio broadband is all set to take up the prime position helping more users more. The ISP services like ACT has improved the broadband scene but it hasn’t helped much in the larger picture.
The expectations and the impact of the Jio GigaFiber are already visible in the Telecom sector. Sensing the tough competition ahead, Bharti Airtel has already announced V-Fiber that offers users speed up to 100 Mbps speed in selected cities. The V-Fiber uses the ADSL2 technology. Airtel is also trying for FTTH services across the vast nation, trying to expand more.
